One of the most important gears that a strobist should have. Snoot and Grid is one of the best tool in controlling and shaping light. It helps in preventing the light in spreading and concentrates the light beam from your flash unit/speedlight to a specific part of the subject you are shooting.

DIY Product Photography Setup

Here I would like to share a small project that I have been working on the past few days. It’s my very own  DIY product photography setup inspired by Steve Bennett’s work. Here is a list of that I used for the setup.

  1. 2 pcs. Home made diffusers – made out of card boards cut into shape of frames then I glued together with a tracing paper on the middle then added 2 pieces of triangle shaped cardboard which serves as stand of the diffusers.
  2. 2 pcs. Lamps – these are 2 ordinary lamps which I bought from a local shop with daylight bulbs.
  3. 1 big sheet of continous white paper – this is used as a seamless background for the product.

You can check out the final image from this setup here.
