May 6 , 2011 was the ultimate night for all the hip hop fans in the capital because the Doggfather, Snoop Dogg was in town! Personally, the successful event made a mark on me as huge fan of his music and for sure  for the entire crowd as well. Seeing him upclose , listening to his legendary hit songs was an experience I never imagined of having. I was also surprised to realize that the Middle East people were also big fans of rap music. The crowd was tremendous, that I have heard they have sold extra tickets just to accommodate fans who are really dying to see the concert.

It was really a night of fun, party and surprises, specially when he came out wearing that Kandoura (the traditional clothing for Arab Men) .  A gift from a fellow arab rapper, he wore that Kandoura despite of the heat that was felt that night. However, I think he enjoyed it and his audience was very much pleased. The whole crowd danced, grooved and went wild when Snoop performed his ever so famous hits like “The Next Episode, Nothing but a G thang, What’s My Name (Snoop Doggy Dog) and his latest UK hit “Wet”.  The whole experience had me confused whether to just watch and enjoy the show or should I concentrate on my photography. It was a very weird and a fulfilling experience at the same time and I am very grateful that Flash Entertainment was able to organize such an amazing event and for giving me a chance to capture it.

But with two weekends of two internationally acclaimed performers, I can’t help myself to think who will be the next artist that will hit Abu Dhabi by storm? Will it be Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, or Lady Gaga? I really can’t  wait!

Last weekend Flash Entertainment brought us the hip breaking & breath taking moves of the one and only “Shakira” and I personally witnessed how amazing that show was. After dancing and singing along with Waka-Waka and Whenever, Wherever its now time to make way for Dr. Dre’s most notable protégé, The Dogg Father himself, Snoop Dogg. The Grammy award-winner and one of the icons in the rap industry behind the hit songs Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang, What’s My Name, Drop It Like It’s Hot & Boom will make his first step into the city this coming May 6,2011 at the Yas Arena. Being a huge fan of rap music and of Snoop it’s a dream come true to finally watch him perform live and most specially to photograph him while he do his fancy moves. Flash Entertainment has done it again! Last night’s concert was a blast! It was a perfect combination to have Amr Diab , the Arab Pop sensation and Shakira , the international singer behind the hits, Waka Waka: This Time for Africa and Whenever , Wherever to perform on stage. With approximately 15,000 people of different nationalities, they were gathered last night to witness this weekend’s surprise at Yas Island. With sold-out ticket sales, it was undoubtedly the best weekend getaway anyone can have that night. From children to adults, they danced and partied to the music of these two internationally renowned performers.

It was my first time to see both of them perform, and hands down to both of them , they were really awesome! Amr Diab, made the crowd crazy when he sang his unforgettable hit, “Nur Al Ayn”. Although this is the second time that Shakira performed in Abu Dhabi, she never failed to entertain her audience. Shakira was gorgeous, especially when she moves. Seeing her perform up close was an incredible experience, and I owe this to Flash Entertainment. Here are some of the best photographs from the event.
